I’m that ginger photographer, the one in the flat cap that you’ve seen lying down or stood on top of a wheelie bin photographing all manner of events throughout the county for the last 20 years.
I have worked for the Gloucestershire Echo and Citizen first as a photographer and for the last four years as the picture editor, providing photographic coverage of everything from horse racing at Cheltenham to racing cheese down Cooper’s Hill, from the worst weather, floods and storms to Stormtroopers visiting the local cinema.
For me it’s all about capturing the moment and great facial expressions, whether it is photographing royalty or a new born baby. I have met some of the most amazing people and done the most amazing things all the while capturing stunning images that tell the story and convey emotions. The passion I have put into working for the papers is something I can bring to every job, giving nothing less than 100%.
From events photography and lifestyle shoots to prospectus photography for schools I am always looking for that perfect image, in the pursuit of perfection I will insure my clients will always achieve the best possible results from their job. I know it should go without saying but I care about every job and doing my best, it was something instilled in me early on in my photographic career. When your name goes above a picture in the paper you very quickly learn you are only as good as your last picture.
